Jennifer Love Hewitt is wishing husband Brian Hallisay a happy birthday this Halloween.

Hallisay, whom Hewitt has been married to since 2013, celebrates his 47th birthday on Friday, Oct. 31. In celebration, the actress, 46, shared a throwback photo on Instagram of Hallisay that she dated to Oct. 31, 2013, shortly before they got married.

“I love this picture because I am always aware of how lucky I am to sit across from you. You weren’t a husband or father yet but we were so excited because we had moved into our first home and just finished Autumns nursery,” Hewitt wrote.

“3 incredible babies, almost 12 years married now and I still love witnessing you everyday,” the 9-1-1 star continued. “This year has been a crazy one but we have had you as our rock. I love you deeply. Always and forever. Happy Birthday my love!”

Hewitt and Hallisay met on the set of Love Bites in 2011. They began dating roughly one year later when they met again on the set of the Lifetime series The Client List and married in November 2013. Since then, they have welcomed three children: daughter Autumn, 11, and sons Atticus, 10, and Aidan, 4.

When Hewitt spoke with PEOPLE in December 2024, she joked that her 11 years of marriage to Hallisay is “like 190 years in Hollywood.”

“I’m really proud of the family we’ve made together. I’m proud of us,” she said at the time. 

“I thought he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen in my life,” Hewitt added. “I said to my manager and friend at the time: ‘I’m going to marry that man, and I’m going to have his children.’ She said, ‘Sweetheart, I think everybody thinks they’re going to marry that man and have his children.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, but I’m going to do it. Just watch.’ “

During that interview, the I Know What You Did Last Summer actress said she felt love at first sight with Hallisay but the romance took on more of a “slow burn” for her husband. 

“He was kind and he was good and close with his family and he was smart. We just had fun, and I was smitten,” she said. “I got lucky enough to end up with him. And guess what? I did marry him, and I did have his kids!”
