As someone who has been whipping up family recipes since I was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter, I'm somewhat of a purist when it comes to kitchen tools. So, it took some serious persuasion to convince me to finally try an air fryer.

Nearly two years later, I'm fully on board and consistently rely on my Cosori TurboBlaze Air Fryer for quick weeknight meals, reheating leftovers (it's the only way I'll eat day-old fries), and cooking without turning my kitchen into a sauna in the summer. If I didn't already own this air fryer, I would definitely be grabbing it on sale for $100 today at Amazon.

Most people are aware that air fryers are a great alternative to deep-frying in oil, but the kitchen gadget can do so much more than that. As an avid baker, I was skeptical, at first, that the countertop appliance could completely replace my oven. But after successfully baking a loaf of bread and a pan of brownies in my air fryer, I’m a full-blown believer.

It has five fan speeds and nine cooking modes with temperatures ranging from 90 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, including four turbo options — air fry, roast, broil, and frozen — that drastically cut down on cooking time compared to a traditional oven. A prime example: In my oven, it takes over an hour to perfectly bake a soft, roasted bell pepper. But when using the turbo roast mode on my air fryer, it takes just 11 minutes to achieve the same result.

The spacious square basket has a 6-quart capacity that’s large enough to accommodate a family-sized main entrée or side dish. It has a natural nonstick coating, so you can use less oil without risking your food sticking to the bottom, and it’s even dishwasher-safe. It’s whisper-quiet, too, never exceeding 53 decibels, even when the fan is set to its highest setting.

Thanks to the air fryer’s precise air flow and temperature control, I’ve found that it can do everything my oven does, and often reheats leftovers better than my microwave.

“This air fryer has completely exceeded my expectations! The cooking space is generous, which makes it easy to prepare full meals without having to do multiple batches,” one reviewer raved. “It’s also surprisingly quiet compared to other air fryers I’ve owned. The different functions are super convenient, and everything we’ve made in it has come out crispy and delicious.”
