Shop Travel Clothes at Chico’s:

Growing up, my mom’s job as an airline employee granted my family some amazing travel perks, but it also meant I had to abide by certain rules — including what I could (and could not) wear on a flight. I’ll spare you the details, but know that after 32 years of travel, I’m a pro at looking polished without sacrificing comfort.

Achieving this balance is easier now that I’ve discovered Chico’s Travelers line, which includes wrinkle-resistant, machine-washable, and packable pieces that can seamlessly go from the plane to dinner. I’ve long been a fan of the collection’s Tie-Waist Jumpsuit for long-haul flights, road trips, and even running errands at home, which is why I was eager to try the matching set in the same material, including this tank top and these lounge pants that I was lucky to receive from the brand. Right now, shoppers can grab both pieces on sale for 25 percent off.

The tank top has side slits, which create a flowy silhouette that drapes nicely over the pants. It’s made from a wrinkle-free fabric with a slight stretch, which I’ve found allows the clothing to move with me during a busy travel day. Even during the summer, I like to wear a layer that covers my arms when flying, and this tank top is lightweight enough that I can wear a jean jacket or sweater on top without feeling bulky.

I used to wear leggings on longer flights, but these pull-on pants are so much comfier and make me look more put-together. Available in both regular and petite lengths, the pants with a shorter inseam are ideal for my 5-foot-2 frame, hitting right at my ankle and pairing well with sneakers, sandals, or a short heel, depending on the occasion. They also have an elastic waist that adds to the comfort while flying.

I tried the set in the dark green shade, but both the top and pants come in multiple color options. While I’m a fan of the ensemble, I also appreciate that I can get multiple outfits out of these pieces when styled separately. That versatility is something I appreciate when traveling and want to get the most wear out of the clothes I pack.

This matching set and more items from the Travelers collection are on sale through April 19. To shop more pieces at 25 percent off, keep scrolling.
