Kate Wasserbach Moore is a mom again!

The founder and creative director of Abel Honor New York has welcomed her second baby, son Julian Francis Moore, with husband Travis Moore, sharing the news exclusively with PEOPLE. The couple’s son was born on Tuesday, July 29, in Albany, New York, weighing 8 lbs., 13 oz., and measuring 20 inches long.

“We’re over the moon to welcome our son, Julian Francis Moore,” Wasserbach Moore tells PEOPLE.

“We’ve always loved the name Julian — it struck the perfect balance for us: classic, but with an edge,” she explains. “It’s timeless without being overly traditional, refined but still cool. Travis and I are drawn to names that feel old-world, soulful and lasting — and Julian felt exactly like that.”

Francis is a family name for Wasserbach Moore, and is the middle name of her brother, dad and great-grandfather, amongst others. “Giving it to our son felt like honoring a quiet legacy that has been passed down through generations,” she says.

Shortly after choosing the name Julian, Wasserbach Moore and her husband saw signs everywhere that confirmed it was the right choice.

“After choosing the name, we started hearing ‘Hey Jude’ — the Beatles song Paul McCartney famously wrote for John Lennon’s son Julian — everywhere. It played on the radio in the hospital the night he was born, my dad heard it multiple times while out grocery shopping. These subtle winks from the universe kept showing up,” she explains.

“As lifelong Beatles fans, it felt personal and meant to be. Now we say: This is Julian’s song,” the mom of two continues. “Just like Carson’s has always been ‘Do You Realize’ by the Flaming Lips.”

Julian was born through a scheduled caesarean section (C-section) while a Frank Sinatra radio station played in the background. Frankie Valli was crooning along during “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” as the baby boy entered the world to the lyrics “I love you baby.”

“The nurses were all buzzing about how serendipitous it felt — like it had been planned. But it wasn’t,” Wasserbach Moore says. “That’s just how music finds us, or maybe how we find meaning in it. Either way, it was magic.”

As she’s been settling into being a mom of two, Wasserbach Moore has loved watching her husband, the “ultimate girl dad,” become a boy dad.

“Right now, we’re fully immersed in this wild, beautiful chaos that is two under two. I truly didn’t think I had more room in my heart, but the second I saw Julian, it doubled,” she says. “Watching Travis become a ‘boy dad’ has been so special. He’s already the ultimate girl dad — Carson is completely in awe of him — but having a son has added this new rhythm to our little crew.”

The cherry on top for Wasserbach Moore has been seeing her baby daughter become an older sister.

“Seeing Carson step into the role of big sister has been incredibly emotional. I’m the oldest in my family too – with a younger brother just like her — and that bond is something powerful,” she shares. “It shapes you. She was born to lead with love, and I’m so happy she gets to experience that beauty of that lifelong connection.”
