- A delivery driver had a sweet interaction with some cats on a porch while delivering packages amid the busy holiday season
- The moment was caught on homeowner Jenny Stafsholt’s doorbell camera footage
- “The interaction was a beautiful exchange of festive energy,” she said
Not even the busiest time of year could stop one delivery driver from taking a moment to make some new four-legged friends during his route.
Homeowner Jenny Stafsholt, from Wenatchee, Wash., was recently notified that an Amazon delivery had been made on her front porch, per The Dodo. But when Stafsholt looked at her doorbell camera footage, she found more than just her package.
As seen in the video, which she shared on Facebook, the Amazon delivery driver, Kade Parson, was making his way up her walkway when her three cats — Sam, Rip and Eli — ran to surround him. Unable to resist their friendly greeting, Parson sat down on the porch steps and began to playfully interact with the animals.
After one of the cats gently pawed at his leg, Parson affectionately petted the feline several times. Eventually, as duty called, he stood up and walked back to his truck — but not before giving the trio a little salute goodbye.

“This #Wenatchee #Amazon Driver seen on my #RingCamera needs some positive recognition,” Stafsholt wrote in the caption of her post. “He took time to sit for a second and greet the cats. Sam, one of the cats, will often greet people as they’re walking up and as seen, was giving the driver some high-fives. Too cute not to share.”
The homeowner told The Dodo that she was touched by Parson’s sweet moment with her cats.
“The interaction was a beautiful exchange of festive energy,” she said.
Parson, meanwhile, told the outlet that such unexpected moments are a highlight of his hustle-filled days as he works his busy route.
“[I’m] a huge animal lover,” he said. “If a cat or dog comes up to say hi and I’ve got 10 seconds between stops, I’m absolutely petting them or tossing a quick ‘good boy/girl.’ Honestly, those little 5-10 second interactions are one of the best perks of the job.”
Stafsholt’s followers were also tickled by Parson’s encounter with the furry trio.
