It’s a big week for Hallmark Channel and the network just added a GLAAD Media Award win to its list of achievements thanks to The Groomsmen!

Tyler Hynes, Jonathan Bennett, and B.J. Britt were on hand to accept the award for Outstanding Film – Streaming or TV at the 2025 GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday (March 26) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Groomsmen trilogy follows three best friends from different backgrounds and cultures as they come together to celebrate their wedding days. Second Chances, the film led by Jonathan, won the GLAAD award!

You can watch all three movies right now on Hallmark+, the new streaming service from Hallmark Media.

Jonathan had three nominations heading into the evening. He celebrated the recognition on Instagram back in January.

“3 @glaad nominations is something I had to sit and wrap my brain around,” Jonathan wrote in his caption. “I feel so lucky not just to be nominated, but to have been able to create 2 of the projects, and even more lucky to be able to work and create at place like @hallmarkchannel and tell these stories. I feel so lucky my job is to tell LGBGT+ stories not just to a queer audience but a broad audience. I feel so lucky that I have people at Hallmark that give me unwavering support to tell these stories. These stories are more important now than ever, and I just feel lucky that I get to be a part of telling them with the only team in Hollywood that are more than just co-workers, they are family. This is a family effort. Thank you to everyone involved in these projects that help these queer stories be told. And congrats to everyone out there telling LGBTQ stories, nominated or not. We are the lucky ones.”

Hallmark Channel just won a Gracie Award this week and the network also announced a continued partnership with the NFL.
