Is Odell Beckham Jr Retiring From NFL? Athlete Reacts to Viral Rumors


Odell Beckham Jr is reacting to rumors that he’s retiring from the NFL.

The 32-year-old wide receiver has been the subject of rumors as of late after he parted ways with the Miami Dolphins in December, following just a one year contract with the team.

Since, OBJ has yet to sign with another team, and he’s speaking out about his future plans and if he’s retiring.

“LOL WTF… when was that announced and by who? That’s funny , appreciate the concerns but this Shxt ain’t over yet,” Odell replied to an account on X/Twitter pretending to be NFL insider Adam Schefter saying that he decided to retire.

“Not done yet… thanks for hr concerns and have a blessed day,” OBJ shared in another post, adding, “😭learn somethin new everyday?”

He then followed up asking people to stop texting and asking about his retirement.

“No seriously. Plz stop reading everything on the internet, and stop texting me happy retirement b4 u piss me off 😭😭😭. That will get no response. I promise u the day I’m done I will let u kno. Again if u text me happy retirement im just gon have to block u😭😭. Thanks,” he wrote.

NFL broadcaster Tom Pelisero shared an update on Wednesday (August 13), writing, “Three-time Pro Bowl WR Odell Beckham Jr. has drawn interest from several teams and plans to play somewhere in 2025, per source. As OBJ posted himself, he is not retiring, and he continues to train in anticipation of being on the field soon.”

OBJ replied to the tweet, saying, “Ahhhh finally real news… much love”

Prior to his one year contract with the Dolphins, OBJ was signed to the Baltimore Ravens for one year. He has also previously played with the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams.
