Maura Higgins is dishing on receiving her new Birkin bag from The Traitors co-star Rob Rausch.
The runner-up of the Peacock reality competition was gifted the new bag from the winner, months after filming, live on TV during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live this week.
Now, she’s speaking to how Lisa Rinna was involved in sourcing the bag since you can’t just walk in and buy one, and Maura shared the moment she knew Rob was very seriously going to buy it for her.

“You can’t just walk into a Hermes store and buy a Birkin. It’s not easy. You have to have an appointment. Some people are on wait lists for like over a year,” Maura said on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “I said to him, ‘Lisa will make that happen.”’ And she was like, “Of course I will.” And I just knew she would.”
Co-host Danny Murphy noted how he liked that she didn’t let it go. “You’re like, ‘Hey, where’s my Birkin?’”
“Well, weirdly so, yes. Obviously, he brought it up at the reunion and then I was like, whatever. Then when we were on Eric Nam’s music video. He brought it up to me and he goes, ‘You know, I’m definitely getting you the bag.’ And I was kind of like, ‘Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it,’” Maura said.
“And a lot of the other cast members from the castle was kind of like, ‘Oh, Maura like you’re believing in this man again.’ And I’m like, ‘I actually am because we’re not in a game anymore.’ So I’m laughing now. Who’s laughing? Me,” she continued. “And then he actually, Rob messaged me and I knew then he was serious because he was like, ‘Tell me the exact bag you want.’ And that’s when I told him.”
Maura added that it hasn’t been that long of a time since she knew that burgundy was the color she wanted. She had just bought a “creamy color” one a couple months ago and told her friends the next one would be burgundy.
If you recall, Maura‘s Birkin was a gift to make up for Rob‘s betrayal on The Traitors.
“I want my handbag and then he’s fully forgiven. I’m happy. He’s happy,” she previously told THR. “He won the prize money. I won best dressed and a free Birkin Handbag. That’s a win. For me, that’s better than winning the show. I’m deadly serious when I say that.”
