Misty Copeland and Oprah Winfrey are all smiles while posing for photos at the 2025 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala held at David Geffen Hall on Wednesday (October 22) in New York City.

The 43-year-old ballet dancer was honored at the event, and marked her return to the stage for the first time in five years, giving her final performance for the American Ballet Theatre after 25 years with the company.

“Last night was a moment I’ll carry with me forever. After 25 years with American Ballet Theatre, I took my final bow surrounded by the company and community that have shaped my life and career,” Misty shared the next morning on Instagram. “I’m deeply honored to continue my connection to ABT as a member of the Board of Trustees—supporting the next generation of dancers and storytellers who will lead this art form forward. And possibly most special of all, this was the first time my son, Jackson, saw me dance on stage.”
