In the final episode, “The Past is the Past,” it was revealed that Parker/The Hood’s (Anthony Ramos) cape was being slowly corrupted by an outside demonic entity.

Riri (Dominique Thorne) came face to face with a bearded individual, revealed to be Sacha Baron Cohen, and she assumed he was Dormammu, but he corrected her quickly.

He then revealed he is Mephisto, “the extra-dimensional demon who lords over Marvel’s version of Hell,” per TV Line.

Mephisto has been teased in the last few years of the MCU, but this is the first we’ve seen of him. His future in the MCU is also currently unknown, though he’s sure to make come back in a future project. Since the character has ties to Wanda and her two kids, could we be seeing him in the upcoming Vision Quest series??

In the Ironheart finale, Riri made a deal with Mephisto to combine her genius and his magic.

“My gut is telling me that that is not the last we have seen of him, and I don’t think that is the last that we’ve seen of him in connection with Parker, and obviously, clearly not with Riri,” Dominique Thorne told Deadline. “I think Mephisto is probably in for a bit more of a headache than he bargained for with Miss Riri Williams. I think regardless of what Mephisto thinks is going to happen, Riri most certainly has other plans in mind.”

Another character was confirmed in Ironheart, with a connection to the first Ironman movie!

Find out if Ironheart will return for a second season…
