Seth Meyers is firing back at Donald Trump after his inflammatory comments about the late-night host on Truth Social.
Over the weekend, the president called the Saturday Night Live vet “the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television” from his social media platform. He went on to say that Seth talks “endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers” and labeled him “a truly deranged lunatic.”

Variety reports that during his Monday night show, Seth addressed the president’s claims, saying, “You can say I’m untalented, you can say I’m deranged, but I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers! You’re the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!”
He then played a montage of clips featuring Trump discussing catapults in some way or another, including one specific speech where he said the word eight times.
Later in the episode, Seth addressed Trump‘s false statement that the host is “100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL.”
He brought this up during the show’s “A Closer Look” segment, “You can say whatever you want about me. That is your First Amendment right, which I have too, right? We all have it, right?”
“I say this with sincerity: I don’t want to talk about catapults. I don’t want to talk about bathrooms. And I’m realizing that I’m starting to sound like a deranged lunatic, but that’s what you do to us. You make us talk about what you’re talking about and then we all sound crazy,” he said.
“What we should be talking about instead is the government shutdown you’re not solving, or the food assistance you refuse to fund. Working families are struggling while you renovate your bathroom and you build your ballroom,” Seth concluded.
