Zoë Kravitz says she nearly had a serious problem on her hands while staying in Taylor Swift‘s house!
The 36-year-old actress was a guest on the Tuesday (August 12) episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers. While on the episode, Zoë revealed that Taylor was kind enough to let her and mom Lisa Bonet stay in her house amid the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles earlier in 2025.
Unfortunately for Zoë, she says things almost took a scary turn when Lisa‘s pet snake got loose in the house!

“We ended up having to stay there for about two weeks and Taylor has this beautiful house—it’s from the ’30s, something you want to preserve and take care of,” Zoë shared on the show.
Zoë said she likes to “leave places better than [she] found them.” Unfortunately, when Lisa set her pet snake down, it slithered away into a gap in the wall in the bathroom.
“The hole is next to a banquette that is built into the wall,” Zoë said, revealing that she found Lisa crouched in the corner trying to hold onto the snake’s tail to keep it from going too far into the wall.
The mother-daughter duo reached out to the manager of Taylor‘s house who said the two of them had no choice but to tear the banquette out of the wall in order to retrieve the snake. She said, “I was like, ‘Either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there’s a snake somewhere in her house.’”
Zoë said she was concerned about Taylor finding out about the issue and planned to take care of the repairs before they stopped staying there. She said, “I said to her house manager, ‘Obviously, I’m gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don’t say anything until it’s fixed.’”
Despite her trying to keep things under wraps, Zoë says Taylor found out about the incident.
“I remember calling her saying, ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something.’ And she was like, ‘Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?’” Zoë recalled on the episode.
