If you have window blinds, then you’re already familiar with the challenge of cleaning them — a time-consuming process that often leaves debris behind unless you have the right tools.

So we found a simple yet effective tool to reach between every nook and cranny: the Setsail Blind Duster. This nifty device has flexible arms and microfiber covers that quickly lift debris from multiple blinds at a time. And unlike feather dusters, which are hard to de-gunk post-use, these cloth covers are conveniently machine washable.

This clever tool has three flexible arms and washable microfiber slipcovers that clean both the top and the underside of multiple blinds at once. It only takes a few swipes to lift dirt and debris from each slat. And if the dust bunnies are particularly stubborn, you can squeeze the arms so they grip and scrub the blinds for more intensive cleaning.

Writer’s Pro Tip

I used a similar version of this tool many years ago, and I discovered that lightly misting the cloth cover with a diluted mixture of warm water and distilled vinegar was a chemical-free way to deeply clean my plastic blinds. It was especially effective at removing odors, grease, and sticky hair spray droplets.

It works on most horizontal and vertical blinds, including wood, plastic, aluminum, vinyl, and cloth varieties. Because the arms have a slight arc, they effortlessly navigate both straight and curved blinds without damaging them. The tool is also effective at cleaning louvered shutters and doors.

The brush-tip side comes in handy for cleaning other hard-to-reach areas like car AC vents, sliding window and door tracks, and even keyboards. Plus, the long, flexible bristles easily maneuver around the itty-bitty wires of oscillating fans as well as the slender slats of tower fans.

It’s no surprise that many people swear by this time-saving cleaning tool. One shopper called it “a lifesaver when cleaning my apartment blinds,” as they no longer have to “take the blinds off” the window to dust them.

Another shopper said it “works really well” and was “surprised” that their blinds “came out looking brand-new.” A final shopper enthused that it makes the cleaning process “so much quicker,” and noted that “seeing the dust on the pads is also strangely satisfying.”
