Egypt Sherrod is taking a moment to reflect during a recent vacation.

The former HGTV star, 49, shared a few snaps from her stunning tropical getaway that she took with her husband Mike Jackson and their daughters, in an Instagram post on Thursday, April 30. While her birthday is in November, Sherrod also expressed how she's feeling about turning 50 later this year in the caption.

“Road to 50! As I begin this walk toward my 50th year, I feel a both a sadness and a peace. I find myself grieving the things I've not yet experienced, yet have a warm peace because I've still got so much life in me to do them,” she wrote in the caption.

The carousel of photos included a few shots of Sherrod posing in front of serene, turquoise waters, with the last video appearing to capture a photoshoot her daughters had during the trip.

“This next chapter isn't about achievement, it's about skipping, laughing, dancing, and freedom,” Sherrod continued in the caption, adding, “But of course my kids want to come along… you'll see what I mean on the last frame as Mony and Kendall butt in on my sexy yacht trip.”

Sherrod and Jackson — who tied the knot in September 2010 after six years of dating — share daughters Harper and Kendall. Sherrod is also stepmom to Jackson's older daughter Simone from a previous relationship.

The couple's getaway comes after they revealed they have two new projects in production following the cancellation of their HGTV show Married to Real Estate. They shared the news during an interview with USA Today published on April 20.

The pair are currently filming two new shows set to be released later in 2026: Home Abroad with Egypt and Mike and Deserving Design.

Sherrod told the outlet that their new projects represent “all the things that are important to us,” from their passion for real estate and home design to giving back to others.

“For those who have watched us for years, they know we believe in giving back and paying it forward,” she said. “That is what we are passionate about. At the core, these projects speak to our desire to help people, to build legacy and to use real estate and design to build impact.”

The pair did not reveal what network or platform the new shows will air on, or when they will debut.
