Hallmark's Tyler Hynes Says Sequels Don't Always Have the Same Impact as the Original Movies, But He's Hopeful About One Follow-Up Film

Tyler Hynes is one of Hallmark Channel‘s most popular stars and many fans credit his movie It Was Always You as his best film. So, will we ever see a sequel?

While the 39-year-old actor has appeared in sequels for his Three Wise Men and a Baby series, with another on the way this year, he hasn’t made sequels for his romantic dramas yet.

And there’s a reason.

“I think it’s funny because with the sequels, it won’t have the same impact as the initial because there’s nothing like falling in love,” Tyler told Swooon.com. “There’s nothing like that. But there’s things that are very close, and I think if yourself and others who have really voiced that opinion long enough, then maybe that will be. Maybe that will be in the cards. I think it would be fun to maybe explore that.”

Tyler knows his fans want a sequel for It Was Always You, which co-starred Erin Krakow. And he hopes it happens one day… or at least another movie with Erin!

“When people raise their voice about these things, solutions do come about. It Was Always You and Erin and I working together is something that has been shared for quite some time, and though the wheels in charge may sometimes take a minute, we do get there. I think that we’re a small enough, little family-run thing that it happens more than other places. I think the audience can ask for whatever they want, and it will most likely materialize,” he added.

“We adore each other deeply,” Tyler added about Erin. “I have the utmost respect for that woman, and that movie is entirely the success it was based on her unbelievable talents.”

Tyler will soon be making an appearance at Comic-Con and he’ll also be on Hallmark’s Christmas Cruise later this year.
