Penn Badgley is giving a glimpse into his home life.

During his appearance on Bustle’s “One Nightstand,” the You star, 39, opened up about his and wife Domino Kirke’s approach to education when it comes to their boys. Badgley, who recently became a father to identical twin boys, shared that his 5-year-old son is currently in a “hybrid homeschooly vibe,” adding that he doesn’t want him to start school too early.

“The 5-year-old right now, we have him in a kind of a hybrid homeschooly vibe. He’s not in kindergarten yet,” he said. “We don’t need to be teaching these kids as much as we try to teach. Our reading and math comprehension is going down because we actually start too early and everybody’s too.”

Badgley added that he wants to give his kids the opportunity to simply “be children.”

“You sometimes hear parents in Park Slope, Brooklyn, talk about their kids in the park, and it’s just like, God bless ’em all, seriously, I know we’re all trying our best, but the neuroses and the anxiety,” he shared. “It’s like, can we let these children be children? And the answer is actually, no because we don’t know how to play.”

Badgley slyly announced the arrival of his twin boys in an Instagram video on Wednesday, Sept. 3, promoting a live event for his book Crushmore. The actor wrote the book with his Podcrushed cohosts Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.

“Interrupting twin paternity leave to announce a live event @podcrushed at @symphonyspace Oct 14 NYC supporting the release of our book CRUSHMORE. Truly proud of this one. Please check it out! @podcrushed for all info,” he captioned his video.

In the clip, Badgley whispered as he announced the live event, before panning the camera to the feet of one of his newborns.

“There’s tiny little baby feet right there,” he said. “I don’t want to wake them up.”

The following day, the British-American singer shared a snap on her Instagram, giving the first look at her newborns. In the picture, the newly minted mom of four took a selfie as her babies rested on her chest.

“…and then there were four 😶‍🌫️🤪🤯🥰,” she wrote in the caption.

On her Instagram Stories, Kirke, who’s also a mom to son Cassius from a previous relationship, shared a picture of herself before the twins’ arrival, showing off her baby bump.

“All hail parents of multiples!” she wrote in text over the photo. “I miss this belly something silly rn.”
