It seemed like the whole of Hollywood was in attendance for Taylor Swift’s wedding on Friday night.
The singer hired out Madison Square Garden in New York for her nuptials with Travis Kelce – inviting 1,000 guests to watch them say ‘I do’.
Among the attendees were some of Taylor’s close friends, such as Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and Gigi Hadid, as well as most of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
Yet fans were left baffled when Hugh Grant was spotted among stars arriving at the bash, with X/Twitter users stating Taylor appeared to have invited ‘anybody and everybody’, and branding the guest list as ‘unhinged.’
However, Taylor and Hugh have actually been friends for two years, with the pair connecting after Hugh brought his wife Anna Eberstein and one of their daughters to Taylor’s Eras Tour in June 2024.
The singer had performed a trio of shows at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, where a slew of celebs were spotted, including the 65-year-old actor.

Shortly after the concert, the Notting Hill star took to X to shower praise upon Taylor and Travis – who had taken to the stage during the show.
‘Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet,’ Hugh tweeted.
The post went viral, garnering more than 5.5 million views, 11K retweets and 169K likes in just over a day after posting.
One fan even responded to reveal his wife offered Hugh a friendship bracelet, a staple of the Swiftie fanbase.
He revealed: ‘My wife gave you a friendship bracelet and I received a text saying how thrilled she was and how very charming you were so thank you for giving her that memory.
‘I am now fully expecting Hugh Grant movie marathons this week at her request.’
Hugh’s tweet eventually caught Taylor’s eye, who responded saying: ‘As a long time Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture.’
The following year, Taylor revealed that Travis had hung out with Hugh and Anna after the show, but in a cringeworthy moment, Travis had mistaken Anna for director Greta Gerwig.
During an appearance on Seth Meyer’s Late Night Show, Taylor explained that her fiancé would mingle with celebrity guests in the VIP tent during the Eras Tour and ‘tell her the tea’ after each show.
She explained: ‘We would do the debrief in the car after the show.
‘Before London I was like “I have to let you know, your favourite director is in the tent,” he loves Greta Gerwig. He loves her movies.
‘He was like “I really want to tell her how funny I thought Barbie was,” and I told him that he absolutely should.
‘So the show happens and afterwards he gets in the car… and he’s had as many shots as everyone else.
‘He’s like, “this was the most fun tent everyone was amazing, Tom Cruise was going crazy, Liam [Hemsworth] is just as fun as Chris, Ashton was there and Mila. Hugh Grant was there and I got to tell him how much I love his movies.”‘

Taylor then revealed that Travis said he’d managed to meet Greta, recalling: ‘I think I told an annoying joke that she’s heard too many times, I said “I love Barbie! I’m just Ken, too”, then pointed to you.’
The singer went on the explain how Travis said she had ‘smiled politely but didn’t say anything’ which she thought was ‘out of character.’
Taylor then added that Travis explained that ‘Greta was talking to Hugh Grant all night so I think they might be doing a movie together, they were really close, like soulmates.’
She continued: ‘So, he keeps talking about this while I’m scrolling on my phone and he’s saying how he was dancing with this family but didn’t know who they were.
‘All I can see on my phone is just videos of Travis dancing with Greta, and I say “Travis here is you dancing with Greta like your best friends,” and he goes “Oh, that’s not Greta!”
‘So I do the math and I’m like, “is there any chance at all, baby, that you complimented Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna, on her movie, Barbie?
‘And she politely nodded, because she didn’t have the heart to tell you she didn’t direct it?
‘And is there any chance that the people who looked like soulmates were actually Hugh Grant and his soulmate?’
Yet clearly Anna hasn’t held a grudge, given she joined Hugh at Travis and Taylor’s wedding this weekend.
Anna, 47, looked stylish in a black and red halterneck dress for the ceremony, while Hugh was dapper in a tuxedo.
The pair seemed to have a great time at the wedding, leaving the reception in the early hours and with Hugh having removed his bowtie.
After months of teases, rumors and conflicting reports, Taylor and Travis finally married in front of 1,000 of their closest friends – and the world’s biggest stars – in a colossal blowout.
They kept fans guessing until the very end, refusing to confirm when exactly they would say ‘I Do’, or indeed, if they already had.
But at exactly 7.30pm, the couple shared the news in blockbuster style, lighting up the iconic music venue with video ads which read ‘JUST&T MARRIED!’, in a romantic nod to their shared initials.
Both the bride and groom were dressed in Christian Dior, her publicist later announced.

Guests have since gushed over the ‘epic, great and life changing’ ceremony, with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos joking: ‘Who knew Madison Square Garden could be so intimate?’
Adam Sandler was the officiant, and delighted the crowd with a ‘funny’ and ‘touching’ service.
‘It was very funny, quite a long speech. I think everyone had a good time,’ he said afterwards.
There were no bridesmaids, instead, Taylor’s brother Austin acted as her ‘man of honor’, and Travis’s brother Jason was the best man.
Jason’s daughters were the flower girls, tossing petals at Taylor’s feet as she made her way down the aisle with a string quartet playing one of her own songs as she made her entrance.
The theme inside Madison Square Gardens was an old-fashioned fairground, with guests given a turn on mechanical slot and pinball machines.
Each of the 1,000 – including A list actress Julia Roberts – was given a ticket during the celebrations, one of which was selected to win a major prize.
After the ceremony came an elegant dinner – before an Alice in Wonderland meets Wizard of Oz themed party on the lower level of the venue.
During the reception, Paul McCartney was the surprise highlight, as the former Beatle stunned the crowd when he came onto the stage and sang I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
Sir Paul’s presence and performance had been kept a complete secret and in having McCartney, hailed as one of the key geniuses behind the birth of modern pop music, as her wedding singer, Swift has pulled off an astonishing coup.
A guest at the wedding said that the festivities were spectacular and at an unprecedented scale.
At one point, American football star Travis even had a try at joining in the singing himself.
There were a number of performers aside from the Beatles star, who has had a home in the Hamptons for decades.
As well as a dinner there were food stations around the venue so that guests could top up on food, with one saying that there was some ‘chaos’ around them.
